Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions VERY CAREFULLY. Once you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions you are deemed to have committed to the course programme you have chosen and are liable for full payment of all fees due.

  1. Delegates are responsible for registering themselves for examinations and student membership of the relevant professional bodies.
  2. All fees shown on the website are excluding professional body costs unless otherwise specified. Payments made to Belfast Academy of Marketing are for tuition and support provided by Belfast Academy of Marketing unless other arrangements have been specifically made in writing.
  3. Belfast Academy of Marketing (Hereinafter referred to as BAM) accepts no liability for injury or accident, however caused, while attending a BAM event. Delegates should take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of themselves and others when attending a BAM event as laid down by the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974)
  4. BAM accepts no liability for any loss or damage to personal property while attending a BAM event.
  5. All fees are payable by the start of a course or within 7 days of date of invoice (whichever is sooner) unless otherwise stated. Non-payment of fees within these terms will result in the delegate being excluded from the course until payment is cleared. Non-payment of fees may result in additional charges accruing and being added to the final amount.
  6. Payment can be made via Cheque, card payment (online only), BACs transfer and Standing Order. A 5% charge (plus VAT) may be added to payments made by credit cards or online electronic payment 3rd parties.
  7. Courses require a minimum of six delegates to run. Should this not be achieved delegates will be offered distance learning as an alternative. In some instances we may transfer you to another module or date. Refunds will be given where no costs have been incurred to date and the alternative arrangements do not suited both parties.
  8. Delegate cancellations: If a delegate wishes to cancel a course BAM will make a full refund, provided the cancellation is made at least 10 days before the course start date. Cancellations made within 10 days of the course start date are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date are subject to 50% cancellation fee. Delegates must complete a cancellation form and ensure this is approved by BAM.
  9. Delegate deferrals: Where relevant, a delegate may defer a module or course prior to commencement of the course start date. In all instances a deferral application must be completed and approved by BAM. A deferral request may be approved once a course has commenced only in extenuating circumstances.
  10. BAM cancellations: In the eventuality of a course being cancelled by BAM, delegates will be offered alternatives; if the alternatives are unacceptable delegates may apply for a full refund.
  11. Resits with BAM: In the eventuality that you need to resit an assigment or examination BAM can charge a resit fee appropriate to the level of tuition and support that is required to be given. Some circumstances may arise where the full tuition amount will have to be charged. BAM reserves the right to undertake an assessment on the level of tuition and support needed based on the knowledge and feedback from class tutors and after reviewing a students final submission.
  12. Deferrals & Resits (charges): Where a student chooses to defer their assessment or requires to resit an assessment all reasonable steps will be taken to accommodate this. Students must note that one-to-one tuition is not provided as a matter of course and any extra tuition may be subject to a fee up to a maximum of the full unit fee. Deferred assessments will incur a fee of £80 and resit fees start from £150. The level of fee charged for a resit is dependent on the level of support required and/or time lapsed from the students attendance at class. Where a student has not attended the classes in more than 12 months they must resit the whole class before they undertake a new assessment.
  13. Late Submissions: All draft tasks of assessments must be submitted by the date communicated to you by Belfast Academy of Marketing either directly or via a tutor/associate of BAM. Where you are unable to meet this deadline there will be a fee of £50 per task. You must speak with your tutor as soon as you become aware that you cannot meet the deadline. We will take all reasonable steps to make sure your work can still be reviewed and feedback given. Students who do not make their tutor or BAM aware they cannot meet the deadline may not receive their feedback on time. BAM cannot be held responsible for late submissions nor have any control over final submission deadlines set by the awarding body.
  14. Any amendments to the booking once invoiced will incur a £10 (+ VAT) administration fee.
  15. Course programmes must be completed within a 2 year period from the commencement of the first course unit.
  16. In the event that a delegate’s sponsor does not meet all or part of the fees payable the delegate will be responsible for meeting the balance of any fees due.
  17. BAM will take all reasonable steps to provide the services offered. No liability can be accepted for any industrial action or circumstances beyond our control.
  18. BAM accepts no liability for inaccuracies or errors made by approved publishers or associate tutors.
  19. Copyright of all study material supplied by BAM during the course remains the property of BAM.
  20. All sales literature and website marketing material is for information only. Whilst every care will be taken to ensure its accuracy no liability can be accepted for errors or omissions.
  21. Every care is taken to ensure the advice and education provided by BAM associates and staff is accurate, no liability can be accepted for any loss, damage or other expense incurred from such advice. BAM reserves the right to deny final submission of candidates work to assessment boards if deemed not of an academic or professional quality or not to the academic or professional level of the course concerned.
  22. BAM reserves the right to refuse any booking.
  23. All bookings made will assume that these terms and conditions have been read and agreed by the student/customer.
  24. The above terms and conditions will be decided in accordance with Northern Ireland Law.
  25. BAM reserve the right to change and/or amend any or all terms or conditions at any time.
